Strategy & Finance Assistant Internship

Launched as an initiative by French President Emmanuel Macron, The Fashion Pact began as a call to action to fashion CEOs to rally and build a courageous collective to address the industry’s effect on the environment. The pact was then presented to the Heads of State at the G7 Summit in Biarritz in 2019.

Since then, The Fashion Pact has brought together leading fashion companies, representing one-third of the industry by volume across the entire value chain, including luxury brands, high street retailers, sportswear manufacturers, and suppliers. With over 50+ CEOs representing more than 160 brands, The Fashion Pact is a united front driving a profound shift towards sustainability by undertaking concrete Joint Actions.

Strategy & Finance Assistant Internship

The Fashion Pact is seeking a motivated and organized Strategy & Finance Intern to support our Head of Revenue, Finance & Operations, as well as our Chief of Staff on multiple projects and initiatives. 

Main duties & responsibilities of the position are:

Revenue

• Develop a revenue diversification strategy to secure, perpetuate and increase the organization’s means to run and deliver its projects, with a focus on philanthropic funding.
• Map the market and assess potential match with The Fashion Pact’s initiatives and goals; build-up a fundraising pitch toolkit & pack; set-up an implementation roadmap and action plan, leveraging on The Fashion Pact’s unique network of CEOs.

Finance

• Support the Head of Finance in day-to-day financial duties.
• Especially, secure members invoicing and collection, and optimize financial follow-up tools to integrate them with our CRM.
• Develop a cost-control & budget follow-up toolkit and run thorough and ad hoc analysis.

Operations

• Support The Fashion’s Pact operations (HR support, team events, members engagement, administration) to increase efficiency of the whole organization.

Market watch & research

• Assist with a variety of ad-hoc tasks such as conducting market research on companies, analyzing industry trends, consolidating reports, and more.
• This duty offers flexibility and exposure to a broad range of strategic and impactful projects within the rapidly evolving sustainability and fashion sectors

Strategy & Governance

• Support in preparing the Operations Committee meeting: The Operations Committee is a high-level gathering of 24 Chief Sustainability Officers from leading fashion and textile companies. These experts come together periodically to shape the strategic direction of The Fashion Pact. As part of this role, you will work closely with the Chief of Staff to coordinate all aspects of the meeting, including the agenda, presentation decks, and logistics for the in-person meeting.
• Support in preparing the All Members Update meeting: Produce materials for the All Members Update Meeting. (90+ attendees receiving crucial updates on sustainability initiatives). You will have the unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders from top global brands, contributing to discussions that influence sustainability at a large scale.

PROFILE

To apply for this role, you must be currently enrolled in an educational/university programme delivering an internship agreement (‘convention de stage’) and have capacity to work in France (EU passport and/or Student Visa). Do not apply otherwise.

• Organized, adaptable, proactive and purpose-driven
• Ability to work on different projects and tasks with multiple stakeholders working both in-person and remotely.
• Fluency in English & French required
• Strong financial literacy, and excellent attention to detail
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Teams...)
• Interest and/or experience in fashion and/or sustainability
• Capacity to work in France (EU passport and/or Student Visa). Duration: 6 months

Internship wage of 900 euros /month (gross) for a 5-day work week of 37 hours
